On April 29, 2011, children and parents gathered at Latinos Progresando’s 2nd Annual Dia del Nino Celebration. Our Dia del Nino Celebration strives to give back to and honor the children in our community, even if only for a few hours.  

This year, we celebrated our community kids with food, prizes, and games, including a piñata!  About 200 kids attended, drank juice boxes, ate our sandwiches, played limbo with our Teatro Americano staff, and took home gift bags and t-shirts.  

Dia del Niño was planned by our Legal Services staff. “It was wonderful to see the smiles on the children’s faces. It made all the planning worthwhile and we can’t wait to have the event next year,” says Marcy Gonzalez, Legal Services Program Supervisor at Latinos Progresando.
