Latinos Progresando is proud to welcome Cecilie Keenan as our new Director of Arts Programming and Outreach. Cecilie was formerly the Producing Director of  Teatro Vista, and brings more than 20 years of professional theater experience to this new position with Teatro Americano. This addition is driven by LP’s recently completed strategic planning process, and will significantly contribute to the professional quality of Teatro Americano’s work as Cecilie leverages her expertise, talent and network.

Cecilie’s dual role in outreach will also enhance the ability of Teatro Americano to build an arts culture in Chicago’s Little Village and harness the potential of the arts to advance Latinos Progresando’s broader community development strategy. The youth development components of Teatro Americano will also continue to be strengthened with this new infrastructure, as will our ability to evaluate our work and measure impact.

We will keep you posted on performance and event dates, as we certainly hope to see you in the audience. We can all also look forward to some really exciting programmatic developments that will put Teatro Americano on its way to realizing its vision as the premiere Mexican theater ensemble in Chicago.
