Education Coordinator

Status: Full-time

Payment: Hourly, Commensurate with experience

Founded in 1998, Latinos Progresando is a nonprofit organization that delivers high quality information and resources for people to build secure, healthy and productive lives. Latinos Progresando provides quality, affordable immigration legal services, reaching families from more than 40 countries around the world. Additionally, the organization leads a 45-organization coalition called the Marshall Square Resource Network, offers arts and cultural programming, and provides scholarship funding to students from immigrant families.


  • Coordinate Education Committee meetings with support of Community Programs Director
  • Manage all projects and programs related to the Education Committee
  • Coordinate the Ventanilla de Educacion at the Mexican Consulate
  • Work with the Health Coordinator to coordinate the Education + Wellness Summit
  • Attend and contribute to the success of Quarterly meetings, organizational events, and other committee meetings as assigned
  • Support the recruitment of new members for the Education Committee
  • Monitor and track Education Committee work plan progress
  • Report progress regularly to the Community Programs Director
  • Attend external meetings as assigned
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Minimum three years related experience
  • Ability to write and speak both English and Spanish
  • Acute attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills ability to engage multiple, diverse stakeholders
  • Comfortable and confident in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Culturally competent
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google tools
