“I’m inspired by hard working, ordinary human beings that I encounter on a daily basis who selflessly give their all–night and day–to progress in life, but somehow find a way to remain full of strength and resilience.
Latinos Progresando is as special to me as it is to the hundreds of undocumented immigrants that legalize their status through them. I see Latinos Progresando as a vital pillar in the Little Village community and the fuel behind the Latino market’s economic strength in Chicago.”
Edgar Pineda used his entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to his community as a driver of success, serving as LP’s creative director and graphic designer for almost 10 years before becoming chief of staff for State Senator Martin Sandoval. He showed incredible determination, working full time while earning his degree; also a former LP client, Edgar is an integral, inspiring member of our community, and we’re honored to recognize him as part of our 21st anniversary.
