While immigration legal services has been part of our story since the beginning, each day Latinos Progresando gives people the tools to design the life they want to see for their children and families. Latinos Progresando talks to the community and responds to community needs. That has been a pattern that the organization has followed since day one.
After neighborhood schools and families expressed concerns about the lack of programming, Latinos Progresando stepped in to create a train-the-trainer social emotional learning (SEL) curriculum for community parents, nutrition education and physical fitness. Since 2015, more than 300 parents have completed the curriculum and have gone on to take leadership roles and exciting job opportunities.
